The Ministry of Public Security held a news press recently to announce the latest development of the “Eagle Campaign” launched by public security departments nationwide to crack down on intellectual property crimes. By the end of June, public security departments nationwide had put 2054 cases of intellectual property infringement on file for investigation and prosecution, solved 1804 of them and arrested 3667 suspects. A total of 1.33 billion yuan were involved in these cases and economic losses of over 420 million yuan had been avoided.
